Hey Volunteers!

We're glad you're here.

Thank you so much for your willingness to help make Christian Day Camp a success! Without you, so many kiddos wouldn't be able to experience the beauty of God's creation and learn about God's goodness. If you haven't signed up to volunteer for Christian Day Camp 2026, click below!

Important Info

Below is all the important information to make your volunteering experience smooth as butter! Here you will find our camp contact number, daily schedules, maps, check-in / check-out procedures, and so much more!

While at camp, cell service is touch and go so we rely on walkie talkies. These will be in your group totes ready to go so please have them on you at all times while at camp.

You are more than welcome to try texting / calling, but if trying to reach someone at camp, walkie talkies are your best bet!

Groups

For whichever group you are leading, you will receive a folder with all the information you will need. This includes:

  • Check-In / Check-Out Sheets

  • Maps

  • Schedules with Stations

  • Lunch Menus

  • Extra Games / Activities List

  • Any other necessary info

Check-In / Check-Out

Check-In

  • Upon arrival, use your check-in sheet to mark each child present or absent.

  • If there is prior knowledge of an absence, this will be shared.

Check-Out

  • After closing, use the same sheet and have pick-up parents or adults sign their child out. This ensures safety of those attending camp!

Group Wagons

Every group will have a group tote! Each is labeled with group color and can be used to keep all group items in order. Included in your group tote will be:

  • Sunscreen

  • Bug spray

  • First aid kit

  • Daily requirements

  • Group folder

  • Tarp

  • Nametags

  • Walkie-Talkie

Kids Bags

Every kiddo is bringing a bag! These will have various items based on individual needs, but most importantly, a change of clothes and a water bottle!

Please make sure kids are refilling their water bottles and drinking plenty of water (even when it isn't hot out!) Consider adding in a scheduled sunscreen and bug spray time (after lunch often works well!) to keep your kids protected from sun and bugs!

Where do I park?

Volunteers for Christian Day Camp can park in the Lodge parking lot or the Boat Ramp parking lot. On the map, see the two "Volunteer Parking" spots for more details.

Expectations of Leaders

  • Communication - If you receive a text/email from a camp leader, please respond in a timely fashion!

  • Pictures - Take pictures! We're happy to have people taking candid shots of camp! Upload them to the weekly album so we can reminisce for years to come!

  • Phone Use - Phone use for camp related activities is permitted (schedules, activities, etc.) but please be mindful of phone time as we are here to enjoy God's creation and build community.

  • Clothing - Be respectful in what you are wearing, keeping in mind you are representing Christian Day Camp and serving as a witness to Jesus.

  • Vehicle Operation - Golf carts and vehicles will typically be driven by camp support staff. Youth under 18 may NOT drive any vehicles to transport campers.

  • Language and Behavior - Swearing is not tolerated and not allowed. Treat one another as people made in the image of God.

Above all: POINT TO JESUS and the depth of God’s love for your campers, for you, and for the whole world!
